MGM Hosts Webinar on Aristotle’s Philosophy - As part of the ‘Philosophers’ World’ webinar series organized by MGM University, the ninth session was successfully conducted featuring a talk by Dr. Deepti Gangawane on the topic “Aristotle: A Profound Philosopher in the Western Intellectual Tradition.” Dr. Gangawane provided a comprehensive overview of Aristotle’s life and contributions, shedding light on his association with Plato, his work in metaphysics, science, and logic. She emphasized the depth of Aristotle’s thought by stating, “To discuss Aristotle in 45 minutes is difficult; even 45 sessions wouldn’t suffice.” The session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Amita Valmiki, who offered a concise synthesis of the lecture, appreciated the speaker’s insights, and commended the consistency and quality of the ongoing webinar series. Honouring Women in Uniform: Felicitation Ceremony Held at MGM University - A special felicitation ceremony titled ‘Honouring Women in Uniform’ was held with great enthusiasm at the Rukmini Auditorium of MGM University, jointly organized by MGM University, MGM Radio 90.8 FM, and the Office of the Commissioner of Police. The event commenced with a tribute to the martyrs of the Pahalgam attack. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Prof. Dr. Vilas Sapkal (Vice-Chancellor, MGM University), Deputy Commissioner of Police Prashant Swami, Dr. Manisha Kakade, Dr. Tejaswini Pathrikar (Anantshree Lotus Laser), Psychologist Savita Satpute (Sarvpreet Counseling Center), and Anjali Patil (Sonswarup Gems and Jewellers). As part of the celebration, 10 accomplished women police officers were felicitated under the theme ‘Honouring Women in Uniform’ for their distinguished service and commitment. The program concluded with the vibrant ‘Antarang Fashion Show’, where women participants showcased traditional Maharashtrian attire. Fashion Show Winners were announced in both Women’s and Youth categories, with certificates presented to all participants.

Ph.D. Admissions Open for 2025-26 at MGM University - MGM University is now accepting online applications for the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program for the academic year 2025-26. The last date to apply is May 10, 2025, and the Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) will be conducted on May 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM. The test will consist of two parts: Research Methodology and Subject Specific Test, each comprising 50 multiple-choice questions. The registration fee for the PET is Rs. 5000, payable online.
